Access Champion of the Year 2025: Euan MacDonald, MBE

We're thrilled to share that our founder, Euan MacDonald MBE, was awarded Access Champion of the Year 2025 at the Blue Badge Access Awards.  

Our CEO Antonia attended the awards ceremony and was thrilled to collect this amazing glass award! We know that Euan would have loved to have been at the event last night - not for the recognition, but because he would’ve loved to raise a dram with other people making the world a more accessible place. His goal was always to help disabled people find great places to go with confidence by providing a solution to the lack of disabled access information. 

EuansGuide.com was launched by Euan and his sister Kiki in 2013 as a place for disabled people, their families, friends and carers to share their knowledge of accessible places to go. Euan never expected the idea of a disabled access review website to become the award-winning charity it is today, working with incredible partners like the Blue Badge Access Awards, making over 150,000 accessible toilets safer, ampifying the voices of thousands of disabled people who take part in the annual Access Survey, and creating a community of tens of thousands of people who can rely on Euan's Guide to help them find and share great places to go. 

We know Euan would be proud of what he built with his sister, family and the Euan's Guide team We're sad that Euan isn't here to celebrate with us but we are so proud of what he has, and what he continues to achieve in his name.
