Accessible science in Edinburgh: our partnership with Dynamic Earth

At Euan’s Guide, we’re committed to helping disabled people find and share accessible places to visit. Since 2021, we’ve been working with Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh’s leading science centre, to improve accessibility and create inclusive science experiences.

Our partnership began during lockdown, when we collaborated on accessible online science sessions, including live virtual stargazing events. In 2022, as in-person visits returned, our Ambassadors tested Dynamic Earth’s accessibility, explored its latest attractions, and shared detailed reviews to help shape improvements.

In 2023, we supported the Bold Futures project, where our Ambassadors advised on Changing Places facilities, sensory-friendly design, and plans for a new community space.

Dynamic Earth now offers Relaxed Opening Hours, featuring reduced visitor numbers, lower lighting and sound, and a dedicated quiet space to make visits more comfortable.

We’re excited to continue working together to make science accessible for everyone. If you’re planning a visit, read real accessibility reviews of Dynamic Earth on Euan’s Guide - and why not submit your own disabled access review
