Scottish Disability Sport Week (SDSW) is back! A national celebration of inclusive sport and the people who make it thrive. Running from 24 to 30 November, Scottish Disability Sport Week highlights the joy, talent and community found across Scotland, with each themed day shining a light on different aspects of accessible sport, from Overcoming Barriers to Clubs & Communities.
At Euan’s Guide, we know that taking part starts with confidence - and confidence often starts with good information. Our Access Survey shows how important clear, reliable access details are when choosing where to go, whether that’s a sports hall, a swimming pool or a local club. SDSW helps bring these opportunities into focus and celebrates those who create welcoming, inclusive spaces.
One of our favourite moments this week comes from Scottish Disability Sports' Instagram Reel featuring Abigail - her energy, enthusiasm and encouragement in taking part is infectious. It’s a brilliant reminder of why inclusive sport matters: not just for the activity itself, but for the confidence, connection and fun it brings.
Scottish Disability Sport Week is a chance to celebrate everyone who plays, supports, coaches and cheers. We’re delighted to mark it and highlight the brilliant people at the heart of Scotland’s inclusive sporting community.
If you have a favourite sports centre or sports club of any kind - let everyone know! Submit your disabled access review so other people can get involved with confidence.
And if you manage a sports venue, make sure you list on EuansGuide.com to reach tens of thousands of disabled people looking for great places to be active.
