Your new look at Euan’s Guide: what has changed?

We are live! party popper emoji

In August, we unveiled a refreshed look for Euan’s Guide complete with a new logo featuring Euan’s handwriting. It is a quiet but powerful tribute and just the beginning of the next chapter.

And now, our brand new website is here.

Whether you use the website purely to find disabled access information or are one or our fabulous reviewers or have listed your venue information on the site, many of the changes you will see were shaped by feedback from our community. This is just the beginning, there are more features and improvements on the way.

Easier to use on the move

More people are using Euan’s Guide while out and about, so the website now works better on mobile. It is easier to be spontaneous by browsing, searching and writing reviews on the go.

    Smarter search, faster result

We have improved how you search and find information, with clearer filters and more intuitive navigation. That means you can find the access information you need faster and with more confidence.

    Quicker, more flexible reviewing

Writing a review is now simpler and more user-friendly. There is auto-save so you will not lose your thoughts and it is easier to add photos and videos that bring your experience to life. Instead of star ratings, we now use smiley faces to show how a place made you feel, because your experience matters more than a score.

    Tailored to our community

We have introduced new accessibility options to help make information more relevant to you. If you complete your profile, your access preferences will pull through to your reviews, making it easier to write and read reviews that are relevant to you.

    For venues and businesses

If you manage a venue or business listed on Euan’s Guide, there are some improvements designed specifically with you in mind. Your listing now looks better on mobile and is easier to find when people are out and about. It is also much easier to update, with a clearer layout and improved tools for adding content. Uploading photos and videos and responding to reviews is now a simpler and more streamlined process.

Euan’s Guide disabled access information is now consistent with the standard Key Accessibility Features developed by VisitEngland, in partnership with VisitScotland and the other UK and Ireland national tourism boards. This consistency should make it easier when updating your listing.

    Please bear with us

We hope you will bear with us during this transition. Rebuilding a 12-year-old website from scratch is never easy and we are still in the early days. If you spot any bugs or have feedback to share, we would love to hear from you.

Your voice helps others explore with confidence. This new look is just one way we are building on Euan’s vision and keeping lived experience at the heart of everything we do.
