High Hazels stands at the heart of the Elizabethan Hardwick Hall estate and dates back to Bess of Hardwick times. It pre-dates the new hall and was formerly the estates brewhouse, retaining sixteenth-century details. This spacious house is perfect for get togethers with family and friends, all will appreciate exploring this beautiful Estate. Guests have free access to Hardwick Hall and gardens during opening hours. Outside of opening hours the gardens are accessible exclusively for Holiday Cottage guests. Sleeps 12 (6 bedrooms: 2 double, 2 twin, 1 single and a sofa bed in the sitting room)

The cottage has been assessed as accessible for occasional wheelchair users. The access rating only applies if using the sofabed on the ground floor. There is a wet room on the ground floor and the Wc has support rails. An access statement is available.

The parking area is in the stable courtyard directly in front of the cottage. There are two routes to the cottage, a slightly longer level route via the side gate or through the outbuilding which involves two steps.
