A modern Changing Place toilet with all the conveniences you could need.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
There are automatic doors at the entrance to the museum, with level access throughout, and an induction loop in the lifts, cafés and at the reception desk. The lift has Braille buttons and the the toilets are well signposted.
Parking & Transport
Good
I didn't see any on-street parking near Aberdeen Art Gallery but there is an NCP on Harriet Street 160m away at Bon Accord and the number 19 First Bus service stops just across the road at Schoolhill.
Accessible Toilets
Good
Located on the 2nd floor, on your right as you leave the lifts, this Changing Places toilet has all the essentials. The door does not require a radar key and opens inward. It can be locked from the inside by turning the knob. There's a ceiling track hoist and a large change bed with more than adequate space to manoeuvre the largest of mobility devices. The toilet seat has grabrails on either side, the flush is on the wall behind, and the toilet paper is on the wall to the left when seated. There is space to transfer on either side of the toilet seat, though some may find it narrow. The sink is a deep, large basin with rails on either side and a sensor trap. There is a sanitary waste and general waste bin. The toilet was especially clean, and the red cord hung to the floor, which we all love to see.

The staff are helpful, knowledgeable and eager to make sure the facilities are suitable for the needs of disabled people.
