    About

Alexandra Palace is an iconic Victorian entertainment and sports venue located between Muswell Hill and Wood Green in North London. Known affectionately as Ally Pally, this historic landmark is set within 196 acres of parkland offering panoramic views of the city skyline. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities including ice skating at the year-round rink, boating on the lake, and exploring the dedicated nature reserve.

The hilltop location features several dining options such as the Phoenix Bar and Pizzeria and the Lakeside Cafe. The venue regularly hosts major events ranging from live music concerts in the Great Hall to theatrical performances in the restored Victorian Theatre. Families often visit for the soft play centre, skate park, and the popular weekly farmers market which offers local produce every Sunday.

The venue provides step-free access to all regular public spaces including the Great Hall, West Hall, and the Theatre foyer. There are 25 dedicated Blue Badge parking spaces located in the East Court car park, and a seasonal shuttle bus service often runs from the car parks to the main entrance during large events. Accessible toilets are situated throughout the building including the Palm Court, Ice Rink, and Theatre.

Shouting at a disabled woman til she cries is not a good look.

It started with the venue failing to provide agreed access arrangements, and finished with me leaving in tears after being yelled at by a member of staff for needing to sit down.

Great gig experience at Alexandra Palace

Visited for a sold out gig and felt reassured and safe at the event. Viewing platform is slightly raised above crowd to left of stage with a good view of the stage and a clearance area to ensure general admissions guests do not block line of sight. Staff very helpful. After gathering wristbands, you can order drinks to your seats for the main act. Viewing platform equipped with removable seating (for those requiring seats and/or carers) + plenty of wheelchair space. Venue also has a downloadable 'visual guide' (https://assets.alexandrapalace.com/uploads/2019/10/Greathall-VisualJourney.pdf) on their website so you can feel reassured and understand the venue layout and amenities. Overall pretty happy with the experience!
