Alkmaarderhout

The entrance to the park, a large wooded area on the edge of the city, is about 15 minutes’ walk/wheel from the northern end of the city centre. Once in the park, the paths are either of well-compacted gravel or brick paving, with some tarmac cycle paths. There is an animal park, popular with children, a floral clock and pleasant shady walking.
