Great Coffee with Fantastic Views New
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Walking Aid, Wheelchair
Overview
The coffee here, in particular, is delicious and they have a wide selection of cakes and savoury options. The café is actually part of a complex used by visitors to the marina. Views across Loch Eil, especially towards Ben Nevis are spectacular and, if you time it right, it's a great vantage point for the Jacobite Steam Train.
Transport & Parking
The main car park is a short distance away. However, if you tell them you need disabled access, they can let you through the barrier to park in the disabled bays right next to the café.
Access
The café interior is wheelchair accessible, although involves negotiating a high door lip andan awkward turn if you're trying to steer on your own. Most outdoor seating is on gravel. We were able to sit at the one table you could bring a wheelchair up to, which is obviously not ideal
Toilets
The toilets are immediately inside the main entrance and easily accessed. The disabled toilet is massive (it also has a shower for users of the marina) with loads of room for manoeuvrability. It has the standard grab rail configuration, including a drop down.
