Excellent

Archie's is a small chain of restaurants serving burgers, pancakes, sides, milkshakes, etc. The décor is a vibrant pink so easy to spot. Think American dinner in style. Restaurant is very accessible and staff extremely friendly and helpful.

Disabled Access In and Around

Excellent

There is a fixed mental ramp outside the entrance and manual double glass doors. Once inside directly in front is the counter, at standing height. Around the walls are seating booths, with fixed seating and tables, which will require a step up. In the centre is a large table with free standing chairs. It looked like there was an upstairs too, but it was closed when I visited.

Parking & Transport

Excellent

This branch is located just outside Manchester Piccadilly Train Station. There are some buses that stop virtually outside the door and the tram stop is also close by. (The tram line is step free).

Accessible Toilets

Good

There is a single accessible toilet on the ground floor. It does not require a key or code. The toilet has plenty of grab rails but no emergency cord, however as its door is immediately next to the main restaurant area, rather than down a corridor, hopefully if you needed help you could call out and someone would hear you. The toilet was clean but untidy with bits of toilet paper on the floor.

Staff

Excellent

Staff were lovely. They welcomed me when I arrived and helped with menu suggestions. The food was brought to my table when it was ready. Food was freshly prepared but I didn't have a very long wait.

Additional Information

The food is very tasty and it's fun to go in, plus very accessible. Wish they had branches in London as the Falloumi burger (spinach and chickpea patty with halloumi, tomato, lettuce, red onion, mayo in a glazed bun) was delicious and loved the whipped cream on top of my vanilla milkshake. This is a great option if you are looking for somewhere to eat round Manchester Piccadilly Station.
