Disabled Access In and Around

The entrance to the store is a very wide, automatic door that is open 99% of the time that the shop is open. Downstairs the aisles are very wide and most products are easy to access. To gain access to the upper level there are options of stairs and an escalator at the front of the store, or a lift which is located at the rear of the store. There is only an ascending escalator in the store so to return to ground level you would need to use the stairs or lift to get back down. The stairs are steep and quite long, however there are handrails should you decide to use them.

I travelled to this place by personal vehicle
There is a large, shared carpark with some disabled parking spaces, however these are very hard to attain unless you shop earlier in morning. Nearby are links to public buses and a taxi pick-up area. These are easily accessed by very wide pavements a short distance away. There are EV charging points around the side of Tesco, which is located at the opposite end of the retail park that Asda Living is situated in. The parking is free in this carpark, however it is only for 2 hours and there are ANPR cameras that are very much in action here, so be wary of how long you are shopping for.

The disabled toilet in this store is very difficult to use if you are a wheelchair or powerchair user. There are numerous bins against the walls, a baby-changing unit takes up space opposite these and I struggled to turn around in my wheelchair. The soap dispenser is broken and hanging off the wall and the red emergency cord is continuously wrapped around a pipe, even though I have hung numerous Euan's Guide cards around it in the past. I could not turn around whatsoever in my powerchair and had to reverse out of the bathroom with my daughter holding the door open for me to do so. There are some grab rails, however these are difficult to access with very limited space to transfer safely, thanks to the bins.
