Venue Description

The Avon Valley Railway is more than just a train ride, offering a whole new experience for some or a nostalgic memory for others. It's a real treat for the whole family!

Accessibility

Station – fully accessible with level access to/from car park. Station (platform) – main platform has level access, second platform has a shallow ramp to access trains (accessible from cycle/foot path). Buffet – fully accessible with gradual ramp access to/from platforms, station building and car park. Buffet (seating) – slight and short ramp into seating. Accessible by standard width wheelchairs. Trains – access ramp for wheelchair users or those with walking difficulties to board/alight trains at all platforms. Specifically modified accommodation for wheelchair users on most trains.

Accessible Performances

Some events, such a Muic Carriages and Music Trains are specifically designed for children and adults with learning difficulties.

Toilets

Station (toilets) – baby changing in female toilets. Toilets not suitable for wheelchair access, use nearby buffet toilets. Buffet (toilet) – fully accessible disabled toilet for wheelchair users, fitted with easy access toilet, grab rails and panic alarm pull-cord. Trains (toilets) - not suitable for wheelchair users.

Staff

Staff are trained in the use of accessibility ramps to allow access to/from trains.
