Lovely flat site with easy access into Ayr

Excellent
We stayed here for 2 nights in our motorhome as part of a 2 week holiday. The site is close enough to the town centre to be able to leave the motorhome on the pitch and there are some nice walks along the river.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
The site is completely flat and the facilities block is in the centre, so not too far from any pitch. They are always happy to reserve you a pitch next to the facilities or a service point on request. I found it easy to get around the site, except for the usual gravel pitches, which are always tricky. The only place I couldn't access was the laundry room, as there is a step up. This was a shame as hubby had to do all the washing.
Parking & Transport
Excellent
We arrived by motorhome. It was a little tricky due to a road closure but still easy to find. There is an arrivals bay right outside reception and a dropped kerb and ramp to allow wheelchair access.
Accessible Toilets
Excellent
The accessible toilet and shower room was smaller than the usual club site ones, but there was enough space for me and my assistance dog to get me showered. The water temperature and pressure were very good and there are grab rails and a fold down seat.
Staff
Excellent
The lady on reception was lovely. She was very helpful and had reserved us a pitch near the facilities, just in case we wanted that. She wasn't bothered though that we wanted to be further away.
