Overall Rating
Good
We attended a wedding on a sunny day so were outside which made things easier. The staff try really hard to accommodate everyone but indoors is not open plan and there are floor level changes, but there is an alternative route. We only used the disabled toilet adjoining the garden suite as we were advised that the indoor disabled toilet would not have space for a power chair.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
We saw that they had a portable ramp to the front entrance but I doubt this would have been strong enough for a power chair. There is a further step as soon as you go in the front entrance. Disabled access is straight into the dining room but you would have to ask them to open this up if it were not in use. The other side entrance has a step. Inside the venue has many small archways and steep stairs to the bedrooms. There is however a disabled friendly separate garden suite with a toilet next to it.
Parking & Transport
Good
There is no public transport to this rural venue. Parking bays for the disabled are spacious and close to the venue. Others park on the grass further out.
Accessible Toilets
Excellent
No changing place toilet. It was quite a big toilet but with a narrow entry way before opening out. Made it a little difficult getting out. There is a red cord which hangs to the floor but is unfortunately hidden behind a fancy toilet roll holder/plant holder so is not easily accessible.
Staff
Excellent
All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Gaynor made a point of telling us about the suitable toilet as soon as we arrived. They went out of their way to make sure we could access all we wanted.
