    Belmont House and Gardens

    About

Belmont is an elegant 18th Century Georgian House. It contains many mementos of the family's history and travels - fine paintings, furniture, Indian silverware and perhaps the finest private clock collection in the country. The gardens contain a Pinetum complete with grotto, a walled ornamental garden, specimen trees and a large kitchen garden with Victorian greenhouses, all set in parkland. During the year Belmont hosts a wide variety of events from herb walks and bushcraft days to open air theatre and seasonal fairs/markets. Please check the website for the most up to date information. The house can be viewed by guided tour on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from April to September. Gardens are open all year round.
