Overview
Having asked specifically for a room with disabled access and being assured this would not present a problem, turned up to discover that the room was only accessible via a flight of stairs! Also, no grab rail in the shower/bath, so I am really confused as to what the hotel considers a disabled accessible room. We were there for a wedding, which took place in the hotel. To access that, we had to go down some steps, up another two sets of steps and then down another flights of stairs. No lift available to reach it. Thank goodness I wasn't in my wheelchair is all I can say. It's a real shame, as the service was lovely and the room was small but nice. However, I dare not stay here again as my legs will not take it. They shouldn't be advertising themselves as disabled and wheelchair accessible.
Transport & Parking
There was one disabled parking space, which was, of course, already taken.
Access
There were steps at the main entrance, but there was a ramp at the entrance to the hotel's tea rooms which provided access into the hotel. There was a lift available, but not all the venues and rooms were accessible from the lift. For example, our "disabled accessible" room was up the lift and then down a flight of stairs.
Toilets
No accessible loos were seen.
Staff
The staff were lovely and couldn't have been better.
