Good
After reviewing things to do in Blyth, the Battery was one place we wanted to visit.. We were not disappointed although, due to the age of the units, it was not ideal for wheelchair users.
Disabled Access In and Around
Average
On getting to the main building the person there quickly put out a ramp for the wheelchair and was available for answering any questions we had. There were a number of other building at the Battery. We didn’t try to visit these as I was unsure about accessibility for the wheelchair
Parking & Transport
Good
There was a large car park adjacent to the entrance to the Blyth Battery which had a number of disabled bays. We did find these bays hard to find though. There was ev charging points.
Accessible Toilets
Good
I am not sure what toilet facilities were there – remiss of me not looking for any
Staff
Excellent
We met a couple of the volunteers on the day and I was impressed by their enthusiasm and knowledge.
