The boat in is a welcoming and friendly public house, usually serving food at lunch times (at the time of writing are waiting for a new chef to start). The pub is a canal side pub sitting alongside the grand union canal. Excellent garden for the summer. Great car parking (you must remember to enter your registration into a computer when you enter the pub otherwise you will be fined) but slopes up to the pub itself, which has a long wheelchair ramp up to the door, excellent because it makes it less steep. Landlady and staff extremely welcoming to customers with all disabilities. Used regularly by the Peter Le Marchant Trust (who take people with various disabilities including wheelchair users on canal trips) As a lunch venue for their client group. Fully accessible toilet for wheelchair users (I use a powered chair which is quite big and although I would not say that the toilet is huge, it is adequate to fit my wheelchair). One room is easily accessible by wheelchair, there is a step to the next room but if you ask at the bar they will put down a portable ramp for you and offer you assistance if you need to get up there. Stop extremely friendly and helpful without being patronising. Great experience and the canal path that runs alongside the boat inn has recently been made fully accessible for wheelchair users in for over a mile in either direction and makes an excellent walk. I would happily recommend a visit.
Disabled Access In and Around

There is disabled access from the canal path, Meadow Lane and from the pubs own car park. The latter 2 both involve a slope which is quite steep. A friend who is a manual wheelchair user easily coped with the slope from the car park. Access to the pub is via a gentle add easily usable ramp which takes you directly into the lounge.
