Not disabled friendly unless you're in a wheelchair

I am a disabled person. I have experience of challenges around: accessing toilets and moving around.

Disabled Access In and Around

Poor

Access into the building was easy and step free. Our seats however were 30 steps up with no leg room, bended knees only and a block plus 30 steps down from the nearest disabled toilet. These were booked through their access link on their website, where I had to enter my nimbus card number and apparently it access your needs accordingly. My card says I use a wheelchair and I need a toilet nearby. I also added on their booking that I need my legs straight and I am able to walk a short distance. Sadly, we had to leave. The venue was sold out and nothing could be done. Apparently, they don't have step free access seats anywhere in the venue other than the wheelchair seats. There is nothing on the website to tell you this. If I had known this, I would have used my scooter.

I travelled to this place by personal vehicle

The disabled parking is about 50 metres from the entrance and you pay the same as everyone else. I think it was £15, which is expensive. There are not enough Blue badge spaces for the size of the venue.

There are accessible toilets, but not in every block and there is only one Changing places toilet in the whole venue..
