Brodick Castle, Garden and Country Park

Took the ferry and 324 bus, I had to fold my scooter to squeeze in the bus. It dropped us at the entrance gate. The driveway is quite steep and you need to get a ticket in the shop. This is as far as I got. There was no way my scooter would get to the castle, and the lift in castle was broken anyway. I sat in the cafe and waited for my husband to take pictures. The staff were polite and friendly, apparently some accessibility changes are' in progress'.

Brodick Castle is one of the main attractions on the Isle of Arran and we wanted to visit during our stay. The major downside is that it is built into a hill and getting between most areas of the estate involves some steep climbs. To make this worse, most of the paths are gravel and slippery under wheels. I used my mountain trike, which helped but this made access into the castle more difficult.
