Excellent
All the buses are low floor along the coast in spring and summer. Bushmills youth hostel has a disabled room with wheel in shower on the ground floor (shower seat is a bit rusty) and there are two single beds and a cupboard for storing a wheelchair. There is a low floor bus down to the causeway stones. Getting there from Belfast by bus - if you ring 24 hours before hand they will try to get a low floor bus and by train all the toilets are disabled and the conductor will notice you and produce a ramp(during the journey they make sure you are ok). Fullerton's pub in Ballintoy has a very large disabled toilet and good food. There are places that are inaccessible eg Whitepark Bay is down a very, very steep path. Carrick a rede rope bridge is a one km walk from the carpark. Portrush a seaside resort is nice to visit from Bushmills. Bus drivers are very helpful on the North coast. www.translink.co.uk

0My mother left her handbag in the pub in Ballintoy and the bus driver stopped the bus outside it and waited whilst I went in and fetched it. Also another driver left us at the top of a hill in Portrush instead of the official stop at the bottom.
