Lovely cafe and part of the toilet Comfort Scheme
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Wheelchair
Overview
Visting Auchterader and went to use the toilets as the cafe is part of Perth And Kinross Comfort scheme which allows people to use the toilets if not customers. Food looked good so stayed for coffee and cakes
Transport & Parking
We parked in the main town car park. Disabled spaces were near the front but full, so we unloaded and then used a normal bay. Held up the traffic in the car park a bit but people were understanding.
Access
The cafe has just enough space to get a wheelchair between tables. We were shown to a table that gave good wheelchair access near the front of the cafe. I dont think all tables would have been as easy.
Toilets
The toilets are at the back of the cafe. The door to all toilets opens so that the disabled toilet is hidden behind it. You need to enter the general toilet area, let the door close, and then the disabled toilet is visible. The toilet was very clean and beautifully decorated with flowers.
Staff
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They checked the table would be ok for us, showed us to the toilets and opened the doors.
