Overview

Canada Wood Kitchen and Bar is an isolated restaurant on what feels like the very rural outskirts of Falkirk. Great food, good service and good access.

Transport & Parking

The only real downside to this great restaurant is getting there - but I guess that's because it's in such a great location tucked out of the way. I didn't see any signs of local public transport, although it's not really too far from the town centre, so a taxi could easily take you there. It is best accessed by car though, but watch out for the bumpy car park! There is level paving by the entrance to the restaurant however.

Access

The restaurant is a modern, high-ceilinged building with smooth stone floors. The floor can get a little slippery if it's been raining though. The toilets are directly ahead of the main entrance, and there are a few tables to navigate but all tables and chairs were moveable if it did feel a bit tight. The first thing you see as you enter is the mouthwatering cake selection! This is on a low counter so can be easily seen by everyone. The main counter is quite high though, but it's table service so shouldn't be too much of an issue. They are dog friendly and have water bowls by the main entrance.

Toilets

The toilets were clean and spacious, and there is one accessible toilet which I've heard is particularly large.

Staff

Staff were great during our visit, and service was prompt. They were very attentive and accommodating.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Simply amazing views across a massive green field out to the snow-capped Ochil Hills! The food is great too. Just watch out for that car park. Might be worth booking ahead just in case it's full after you've travelled up there.
