The Card Factory is a very popular shop located within the Oakmall, Greenock. The shop sells cards, balloons and gifts for birthdays and occasions. The shop itself is extremely small and the aisle are very narrow with stands/baskets/displays at the beginning and throughout the shop. Having observed a self-propelled wheelchair user in the shop at quieter times – the shop is too narrow to manouver or turn the chair in anyway causing frustration to the user. The shelves and display of cards are located quite high with limited selection available at lower levels. The shop will also be too narrow for anyone who mobilises using requiring walking aid assistance. The shop has normally 1 (will increase during peak times) staff member working behind the till but it can be limited with staff on the shop floor making asking for assistance rather difficult. Staff will always help when they can. I would recommend avoiding this shop at it’s peak times; Christmas, Mothers/Fathers Day and Valentines Day as it becomes far too busy with no space for anyone to move in the shop.

All access are either flat or ramped into the Oakmall with power assistant automatic doors. Access to the shop is flat also.

There are toilets available throughout the shopping centre. They are not located within individual shops.

Excellent
Staff are always friendly when approached and will assist when able.
