I am a disabled person and a carer or friend of a disabled person and a general supporter of disabled access. I have experience of challenges around: a hidden impairment, accessing toilets, dexterity or coordination and moving around.

The best live music experience I have had in years! Accessibility friendly and highly accommodating to everyone and anyone who needs assistance.
Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
From the ground level there is a lift that takes you straight to the entrance and box office area. Here we were met with event security who directed us to the event medics who then arranged to guide us to the balcony area for people with accessibility needs (None of this was pre-arranged, they were just fantastic!). We were accompanied in another lift to the higher levels and given access to the viewing balcony where we had the best view I have ever had at a gig, a lady was coming around to take drinks orders and then delivered them to us where we were sat. Accessibility patrons had access to their own bathrooms and smoking area with both being accessibility friendly (step-free access and ramps, however the doorway to the smoking area is difficult to navigate in a wheelchair as the door opens the wrong way). There was also a member of security on hand constantly, should any needs or queries arise. The venue staff bent over backwards to help us and I have every intention of sharing this information with as many people as possible as it is the best experience I have had since being disabled.

I travelled to this place by train
The train station in Cathays is very close to the venue and is an accessibility friendly station with ramps. There is a small carpark a short distance away, however I was unable to see if there were disabled spaces available there.

Accessible Toilets
Excellent
The bathroom was a full-sized disability bathroom with grab rails, plenty of space to manoeuvre a wheelchair easily, transfer space aplenty and very clean. Red emergency cord system in place and easy to use locks on the door.

Staff
Excellent
The staff went above and beyond to ensure my experience was a good one and I cannot complain about a single thing regarding them. They were all incredibly friendly and kind, nothing was a problem for them and if one person couldn't answer a question, the manager was there like a shot and sorting it out immediately. Fantastic team of staff, very well organised and I very much look forward to visiting there again.
