The National Roman Legion Museum is a historic archaeological museum located in the heart of Caerleon, near Newport. Visitors can explore the life of a Roman soldier at one of the furthest outposts of the Roman Empire through extensive exhibits of military hardware, weaponry, and everyday domestic items. The museum grounds also feature a Roman inspired garden showcasing period horticulture and landscaping.
The museum provides a level entrance through glass doors and level access throughout the main building. Facilities include accessible toilets suitable for standard wheelchair users and a portable ramp to assist with slight elevations in the flooring. Induction loops are available for visitors with hearing impairments, and a wheelchair can be borrowed on request. Free accessible parking bays are located nearby on Broadway.
