We popped into this butcher's shop whilst in Stornoway to stock up on Stornoway Black Pudding for relatives back home - because, you know, we had to by law. Whilst lacking in accessibility features, the shop is spacious enough for most mobility devices to navigate with ease. They sell a variety of preserves and dry goods, including produce from Stag Bakery and the Hebridean Baker.
Disabled Access In and Around
Average
There is a manual door at the entrance, but this was pinned open during my visit. I had no trouble entering in my manual wheelchair. There are no lowered counters, but staff came round to speak to me. As the layout is simple, it's easy to see where the food is located and where to pay. There are no alternative formats available
Accessible facilities: Single-level venue, Step-free entrance
Parking & Transport
Good
I travelled to this place by personal vehicle
There is a car park outside, which is not the largest, but it has three accessible parking spaces, as well as enough room to park our 7-metre-long camper. The two accessible parking spaces furthest from the entrance have hatched markings on either side. The space closest to the entrance does not.
Accessible facilities: Dedicated on-site parking
Accessible Toilets
There are no toilets at this venue.
