Apalling attitude, ignorant staff

Overview

Chips 2 Go is just a glorified chip van on the beach front at Coney Beach, Porthcawl. A lot of the questions in this review are therefore not applicable. I am just reviewing the complete intolerance and rude behaviour of the staff and encourage others not to go there.

Transport & Parking

5

Only upside to the place is that it's easily accessible from all directions with parking close by and walking paths from all beach sites

Toilets

I saw or saw signs to an accessible toilet but didn’t use it. The venue is an open air chip van on a fairground/ beach sit where there are toilets in various places.

Staff

Totally rude and ignorant. Visited with a co-worker and a severely autistic service user who cannot communicate verbally. He got upset at trying to communicate what he wanted. As we were trying to placate him and cater for his needs, comments from the two staff included "He needs to move." "Cant you do something about him." They literally served other customers food over his head and got annoyed when he got more agitated. Apalling attitude from both.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

We explained about our service user's autism and communication, but they still looked at us as though we were just causing trouble and didn't understand why we couldn't just move along. Despite having another serving point not three feet away they continued to lift food over our heads whilst ignoring our request for one measly sausage. When we eventually had it and our service user sat down outside quite happily, it became apparent that they were having a good bitch about us. Vile.
