Chirk Aqueduct

A very interesting historic site that you can access easily with a wheelchair and assistance dog it can be accessed from both sides either Poachers Pocket all Chirk itself. Chirk Aqueduct is a 70-foot (21 m) high and 710-foot (220 m) long, The foundation stone was laid on 17 June 1796 and it was completed in 1801. The tow path is a very beautiful path about 2 miles before you get to the aqueduct and you have excellent views from the chair that's approaching from Poachers Pocket side. You can also see trains going over the aqueduct from the viaduct and do the busy line between Chester Wrexham Telford.
