Overview

Not as much here compared to the past and it is spread out over a greater area of Edinburgh. The kids section is very hard to access and is far away from the rest of the attractions. The ice skating (viewing) is also not easily accessible without encountering steps. Security are very helpful but staff are less helpful and unsure of things.

Transport & Parking

I travelled by taxi but there was still quite a walk from the closest taxi drop off area to the attractions.

Access

The pathways are ramped buy the nature of the location. However some are extremely steep due to being down in the gardens. I’ve skating area had no ramped access to the viewing area and was only accessibly by steps. A helpful security guard did help me but there was no staff or call points - I had to shout out to get attention. No lowered areas on food, drink or retailer stalls for ordering. Very very limited seating available.

Security were very very helpful. Staff from Edinburgh Christmas were less helpful and didn’t seem overly interested.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Less attractions than before Covid so not as tightly packed. Not many sanitising stations. I’d have thought every hut and attraction would have had a station but no.
