Drinks at Coffee Boo
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Hearing Aid, Wheelchair, Powerchair, Speech Impairment, Autism, Learning Disability
Overview
We went as a group of 8 people. We bought drinks not food. It was popular so was crowded and noisy but with a nice atmosphere. We were served quickly - table service. Tasty drinks with nice presentation. Drinks were generous size - too big for some! Nice to have a free biscuit with tea.
Transport & Parking
Right on the tram stop and next to the bus interchange. No parking but car park available at Morrisons down the road.
Access
Easy to get in, there were no steps to enter. Space to move around the tables, even when busy. Wheelchair users able to go to counter. Menus weren't available in alternative format. Some photos on menu.
Toilets
Advertised as an accessible toilet but not enough space for a wheelchair user and/or carer. Could not close the door with a wheelchair inside. Some grab rails. Other accessible toilets available nearby (Wetherspoons, Morrisons, Hillsborough Park) if you plan ahead but not good if you are caught short. It was the only toilet.
Staff
Staff were friendly but not chatty - they were very busy and a new premise.
