Small family owned business offering food and cultural tours in Corfu. I booked a private food walking tour and loved it. Highly recommend. If you go to Corfu just book it, you won't be disappointed.

I booked a private tour and was offered the option of Arina, my guide, picking me up from my city centre hotel.

Access

My access needs were discussed prior to the tour so the route was almost flat, apart from a short flight of stairs down. Ariti was very attentive and always ensured that we walked at a speed I was happy with. All the venues had a single step into the restaurant or shop. When we arrived at each of the venues I would be offered a seat. Often there would be a choice to eat outside (step free) or inside. At the end of evening Arina walked me back to my hotel.

Wonderful. From the very first email I had a great response from Corfu Walking Tours. As it was pre-holiday season there were no public tours but I was offered a private tour, which didn't cost much more than the public one. Also prior to booking my access needs were discussed and I felt confident in booking with them. On the evening, Arina was a fabulous guide, very knowledgeable, engaging and fun. She picked me up from and dropped me off at my hotel, which was very helpful.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

The whole experience was outstanding, I loved every minute of it. We visited 6 venues, which offered a variety of traditional savoury and sweet food and drink. My personal favourite was the rice pudding shop. Each shop/ café welcomed us and provide a large selection of tasty treats to try. There was no pressure to buy anything at any of the venues and all food and drink were included in the price of the tour. I would advise arriving hungry and pacing yourself, as there is far more food on offer than you could possibly eat. The other really lovely thing about the tour was finding out about local life and the culture of Corfu. There was plenty of discussions about history and culture as well as food. It felt going out for the evening with a friend rather than being on a tour. Also the venues they have chosen are local small places where the guides and their families frequent instead of tourist places. Arina, sent me a list of the places we visited after the tour. I spent most of my weeks holiday revisiting most of the places, sometimes several times and I began to feel a bit like a local. Can recommend this tour enough. They also offer the tour for people on cruise ship excursions and the transfer from the port to the Old Town is not very far, so this would make an ideal day out, if you want something very special and a little bit different from the usual shore excursions. Loved it and can't recommend it enough.
