Overview

SAT NAV. HP9 2XE. Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield This is still one of our favourite hotels, having stayed here five years ago to celebrate our 55 wedding anniversary, we were determined to visit again, so made it a stop along our journey, and we found it as lovely a hotel as back then. It’s quite an posh and elegant hotel, set in quiet grounds with landscaped gardens well maintained and looked after, and even as you approach the hotel you know you are going to like it (photo 1). It’s inviting, modern and attractive (photo 2) and has all the facilities you need to enjoy a short break or just to pop into for a light snack or drinks. As long as you use the facilities in the hotel, say taking a drinks break, or staying over, then parking is free, no need to register the car at reception. There is a barrier, which is automatic, so no trouble here, and disabled parking is close to entrance (photo 3). It seems the grounds can take sub tropical plants as palm trees are found along the hotels face (photo 4) The hotel has quite a slope to be pushed up to get to entrance (photo 5) There is an automatic sliding door on the level (photo 6) which opens into a lovely foyer entrance (photo 7) which leads ahead to the reception desks (photo 8) The reception staff are very friendly and helpful and offer a warm welcome to you.(photo 9) The deco throughout is plain but tastefully done, lovely light floor tiles which are very clean and well maintained (photo 10) and as photo shows This is the way you will need when needing the disabled toilet later on. Just by reception you will find the lift you have to use to get up to the Bar lounge (photo 11) as well as bedroom levels. The Bar is a delightful attractive area, well lit and inviting, (photo 12)with comfortable seating (photo 13) and with waiter service where Light meals can be ordered at reasonable prices, which you can enjoy along with your drinks order (photo 14). You will now have to use the lift again to take you down to ground floor level so as to be able to use the disabled toilet facilities (photo 15) and although plain and simple, it is huge in there and will take all sizes of chairs. Take the lift back up again to restaurant level, also for bar level, and enter the very pleasant 1269 restaurant (photo 16) which is a delightful dining area with polished flooring and nicely furnished (photo 17) with a choice of seating for you (photo 18). This is the place to dine tonight, or if you have booked an overnight stop, WHICH WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND, then breakfast will be served here (photo 19) with a very nice variety of delicious early morning food on offer (photo 20) or if you are really keen, why not take to the outdoor patio area, which is very pleasant. OUR FINAL THOUGHTS It’s modern, posh, elegant, welcoming, and we HIGHLY recommend a visit. Throughout the whole hotel it is comfortable, classy, and we just loved it.

Transport & Parking

Although this lovely hotel is along a main road, it is along a wooded road, and easy to get you to hotel. As entering, there is an automatic barrier, and disabled bays are next to the hotels entrance, the only drawback is that it has a steepish slope to have to be pushed up to get you to the automatic hotels door which is on the level.

Access

Once inside, everything is on the level and easy to move around in, lots of space to allow ease of movement. There are lifts available, to get you up to Bar and Restaurant level, as well as to the delightful bedrooms.

Toilets

It’s huge, although simply furnished, but has a pull cord and grab rails. Very clean and well maintained.

Staff

Friendly, but more reserved and business like, but will do all they can to help you
