Fabulous roadside services
Roadside services includes lovely eatery using local produce. Serving simple fayre including breakfasts, snacks, drinks, cakes etc. Also including vegan and vegetarian options.
A shop selling fresh veg, fruit, locally made chutneys and preserves, local wines and beers, local meats and pastries.
Two toilets one of which is a disabled one with loads of room for a wheelchair. Both were kept spolessly clean . You can use the
Toilets even if you are not using the cafe but the proprietors ask that you make a small donation in their Fairtrade Toilets donation box.
There is also a free childrens library and seating area where they can read whilst the adults relax over food and drink!
There is ample seating within the restaurant along with several picnic benches outside.
The whole site is either tarmaced or slabbed and is ideal for the infirm and elderly. Perhaps the only minor drawback is that there are only 2 designated disabled parking spaces.
All the staff we dealt with were extremely polite, helpful, curteous and very friendly.
The services are a Lottery funded community project and was one of the best that I have ever had the pleasure of using.
