CYP Holidays is a social enterprise run by Callander Youth Project Trust. Based in Callander, within the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, CYP Holidays offers several luxury glamping pods with unrivalled views of Ben Ledi. Each pod has an ensuite and its own kitchenette, as well as underfloor heating and a sheltered outdoor porch. One of the four pods is fully-accessible, complete with Changing Places style wet-room, Y-shaped ceiling hoist and a single profile bed.

Accessible Crags Glamping Pod

Wow, the glamping pod at CYP Callander Hostel was incredible! There were so many accessible features and the mountain view outside the glass sliding doors is so beautiful. We spent 2 nights here and I wish we could have stayed longer. There are lots of sweet shops and cafe within easy walking/rolling distance and gorgeous lochs are a short drive away.

Amazing Accessible Glamping Pod

It was like a home away from home (but with better views!) as everything was so easy for me to access. Overall, we had an amazing stay at The Crags Accessible Pod and would stay here again.

Disabled Access at CYP Holidays

The fully-accessible pod has wide doorways and a level interior (including level-access shower). It has a Y-shaped ceiling hoist, which runs through from the main bedroom (single profile bed) through into the Changing Places style wet-room (equipped with Clos-o-Mat toilet, changing/shower bench and adjustable-height washbasin). The remaining three pods have lips on the (single) entry doors and on the showers. In two pods, the double bed is positioned in one corner of the pod, so can only be accessed from one side. In Pod 3, the bed is towards the centre of the living space and so can be accessed from both sides.

Accessible parking at CYP Holidays

There is a dedicated parking area for pod guests (1 car per pod). The fully-accessible pod has a disabled parking space immediately to the rear, with flat access all the way round and in through the front of the pod. The other pods are a short (10m) walk across a gravel driveway and onto a short flat path made of concrete slabs. This path leads round to give level-access to the covered porches of all three pods, without any steps. Please note that the main car park area separates the pods (and allocated parking) from the street - the car park is Type 2 aggregate.

Toilets features at CYP Holidays

The fully-accessible pod has a wet-room with changing/shower bench, Clos-o-Mat toilet, adjustable-height washbasin and level-access shower with fold-down shower seat. The design is modelled after Changing Places toilets, but the space is slightly smaller so it is not verified. The Y-shaped ceiling hoist runs from the main bedroom all the way through the wet-room. There are grab rails around the toilet and washbasin. The bathrooms in the other three pods are fairly small (shower, toilet and washbasin only).
