Your forest escape in the heart of Cheshire
Delamere Forest is a welcoming green space in the heart of Cheshire, easily reached by road or rail, with its own train station on the edge of the forest.
Explore a network of walking and cycling trails beneath a canopy of mature trees, discover accessible routes suitable for a range of abilities, or spend time at Eddi's Hillfort, our inclusive play area designed for children of all ages and abilities. Visitors can also hire all-terrain mobility scooters to explore more of the forest, and a Changing Places facility is available to help more people enjoy a comfortable and accessible day out.
Whether you're looking for a peaceful walk, time in nature with family and friends, or an active day outdoors, there's plenty to discover. Follow accessible paths through the woodland, enjoy views across the meres and lakes, try an orienteering trail, or make your way up to Old Pale for panoramic views across the Cheshire Plain and beyond.
For a longer stay, Forest Holidays cabins are nestled among the trees, providing a base from which to explore the forest and surrounding area.
You can enjoy a walk, cycle the forest trails, stop for refreshments at the Delamere Forest Café, or take on a treetop adventure with Go Ape.
Whatever the season, Delamere Forest offers space to relax, explore and connect with nature.
