Dice & a Slice

I have been wanting to visit this place for a few years since I first moved to Colchester and I finally managed in June 2026. I was not disappointed. Upon reading their website, I discovered there is a free Jigsaw afternoon on tuesdays from 12-4 which is ideal for group activities or maybe those looking to meet new friends. It was easy to get into the venue and I was warmly welcomed by the staff who were happy to help in any way. The accessible toilet was out of order on the day I visited but was being dealt with ASAP but I had a sneak peak and it was roomy and the cord was exactly how it should be! I had to make do with another toilet which had a baby changing facility in it which I could just about manage to get my powerchair into so all was not lost. The venue has a lot of games for both the hardened gamer and the casual player so there is a lot to entertain yourself and it will set you back £5 per person on a weekday. The venue is accessible by bus or train, however the road it sits on does not have the best camber so be aware of wheelchair straying. I did try to have a look at the games, but my chair was just that little too big to squeeze around the tables to reach the shelves without knocking them which was a little embarrassing, so next time I will ensure that husband helps me. In the entrance to the venue you will find flyers for all sorts of local facilities, events etc I would say this is a true community hub and look forward to going back again in the future.
