Five stars for the ground floor and public areas - breathtakingly beautiful, using lots of wood and bright carpets/wall coverings. Accessibility absolutely fine on this level Five stars also for the staff - see below. Stars lost because bedroom ensuite not really adapted properly: a small lip to get into the bedroom, then difficult in some rooms to manoeuvre into the bathroom (we were in several, read on!). Had booked wetroom but been given a room with a dropped bath - no earthly good. Chose the best of the others. This one was tight to get into (the bed should have been moved further away), had grabrails round the toilet and one at the sink. However, the shower had NO grabrails or seat and was therefore unusable for my husband. The very kind maintenance manager did find us a plastic chair, but it was still very tricky

Disabled Access In and Around

No problem on ground floor. The lift, however, was very small - with my husband in a standard transit wheelchair, and myself, it was a very tight squeeze. The upstairs corridors were long and it was very difficult working our way through all the firedoors without getting battered, or us doing the battering.

Parking & Transport

Plenty of parking at this time of year. The designated disabled spaces seemed to be rather far from the main entrance though.

Accessible Toilets

The public accessible toilet on the ground floor was terrific - large, well positioned, lots of grabrails.

Staff

Terrific. All of them - all helpful and friendly. Might have helped if there had been a more visible door person to help with luggage, and with the inner door.
