Historylinks Museum is a five star independent museum situated in the town of Dornoch in the Scottish Highlands. Visitors can explore fascinating displays showcasing the rich heritage of the parish, including exhibits on Vikings, Picts, local clans, and the history of Dornoch Cathedral. Interactive films and historical artefacts bring local stories to life, while children can enjoy dedicated activity rooms featuring educational puzzles and historical dressing up costumes.
The venue provides step free level access throughout all main exhibition spaces on a single floor. An accessible parking bay is located ten metres from the main entrance door for blue badge holders. Visitors will find accessible toilets inside the building, as well as a loan wheelchair if required. A hearing loop is installed across the venue, and enlarged reading sheets are provided to support visually impaired people reading display texts.
