Drumfrochar is a small but functional single-track railway station in the South-West of Greenock. Located in a mostly residential location, it's not a stop for sightseeing but it sure is easy to navigate!

As the station has only one platform, it's difficult to get lost. At the entrance near Lemmon Street, there's a short walk past the lock-ups. A long ramp leads down to the platform, with handrails on either side and a bench right at the bottom, where you'll find the passenger assistance meeting point. The bench backs onto a shelter, which also has a bench inside. On the platform there is an assistance intercom, an active hearing loop and audible announcements. There is tactile paving along the platform edge. There is an alternative entrance on Peat Road, but there are steps on the way down, which is a wee bit frustrating. It's mostly a ramp, with only the occasional step, a days work would easily make that entrance accessible for more people.

Additional Information
At the entrance on Lemmon Street, I noticed a boat. The name on the side was Dignity, which instantly had me singing the famous Deacon Blue song!
