Dublin Bus

59 Upper O’Connell Street, Dublin, Dublin 1, Ireland | (01) 8734222 | Website

All Dublin buses are accessible, but, can be heavily used by other chair users. Try the LUAS as an alternative

Overview

Every bus service in Dublin run by Dublin Bus is accessible to manuaL and powerchairs under 90cm wide. Most (if turned on and loud enough) also have audio prompts for Bus stops and some have visual display of route and next stop. Sadly, the same cannot be said of Bus Éireann, if you wish to go outside Dublin. Take the train instead

The Termini is on O'Connel Street in central Dublin. I could find no disabled parking. I chose to use the Luas (tram) into town

Some may benefit from disability awareness training and witnessing disabled users in transit. Attitudes were patronising at times
