Duffus Castle

The Castle, or perhaps more accurately it's ruins, sit on a mound in the open farmland north of Elgin. The overall rating would have been higher if the 'kissing gate' did not prevent wheelchair access. I could sit and admire the views whilst my visually impaired friend was able to pass through the gate and go exploring. That said, it was a great place to sit and admire the view of the castle, the surrounding countryside and the peace and tranquillity.
