Overview

Impossible to get inside from the street unless you can somehow overcome the three tall steps into the restaurant. No ramp. This is not really within the law as set down by the Equality Act 2010. It would not take much effort or money to buy a suitable ramp.

Transport & Parking

Several bus routes will drop you off reasonably nearby in Shaftesbury Avenue. The nearest step-free station is Green Park, which is a short bus-ride away.

Access

I wish I could give this restaurant a better rating, as the food is fantastic, but to get inside you have to mount three tall steps, and they have no ramp or other means of surmounting these steps. If you can get past these steps, then things are fine once you're inside, with a step-free ground floor dining area, though the 'accessible' toilet is only half-decent - see below.

Toilets

There is an 'accessible' toilet. Access to it was blocked by a huge stack of chairs which it took two men quite a while to shift out of the way. The toilet is too small, there is no room to park your wheelchair for a sideways transfer to the toilet (if you need this, stay away), there is no emergency cord. So it's a kind of half-hearted stab at the idea of an accessible toilet. Could be better.

Staff

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the one person I asked about a ramp for the three steps at the front door was apologetic about not having one - but an apology is not an accessible restaurant. I was lucky enough to have two glamorous assistants to help me up these steps, and I can walk a bit, so we were fine, but not everyone is in this position.
