Dundee Rep and Scottish Dance Theatre Limited

After leaving the Tearoom, we headed for the Dundee rep (Scottish dance theatre). But on the way we stopped to have a look around the precinct and we bumped into Desperate Dan (haha). We got to the Dundee rep and entered the building, we spoke with the lady on the foyer who gave us all the information we required. She then went out of her way and asked the director who was busy rehearsing for a play if we could go into the stage area to have a look at the accessible spaces for wheelchair users and disabled in general. He agreed and we had a good look around. With the stage being level not raised up high (so no strained necks looking up at the stage).

Disabled Access In and Around

There is a nice cafe/restaurant and there is three disabled toilets in the building, all very accessible and spacious. Most of their own plays have the facility for signing but some of the outside groups do not have this available.

Parking & Transport

There is no disabled parking available that I could see, you have to park on the street nearby if you are lucky. You can travel by taxi but as it is in the city centre it is not far to use a wheelchair. The only drawback is the cobbled streets they can be very slippery when wet and uncomfortable.
