    Dundonald Castle

    About

    On your visit, you will be able to access: the Great Hall, the Laigh Hall, first floor gallery, visitor centre, shop and tearoom. There are some minor access restrictions in place in the Great Hall. Explore the high-vaulted halls and gloomy dungeons of this splendid stronghold, perched on a hill above the village. The main tower was built in the 1370s by King Robert II to mark his succession to the throne. Its heritage is explored in the visitor centre. 1 Apr to 30 Sept: Daily, 10am to 5pm (entry slots 10am, 11am, 12 noon, 1.30pm, 2.30pm & 3.30pm) 1 Oct to 31 Mar: Daily, 10am to 4pm (entry slots 10am, 11am, 12 noon, 1.30pm & 2.30pm)
