Dundreggan offers access to wildlife and the outdoors

Overall Dundreggan has excellent accessibility inside and outside and I would highly recommend for a visit and its overall aims. It is a lovely centre with approachable and kindly staff. The only let down for us is there is no changing places toilet provision. For a new, architect designed facility this has been a big disappointment. Dundreggan is very far from the nearest provision 1 hour to Inverness. To have put so much effort into making everything else so inclusive and accessible but in effect excluding those who need a changing places type provision is such a shame.

    Dundreggan Rewilding Centre

Really enjoyed our first visit to the new Trees for Life visitor centre at Dundreggan, about 6 miles from Invermoriston. Very impressed at the accessibility for daughter in her wheelchair including ramp access to single level visitor centre and cafe. Disabled toilet available in centre too. Following a lovely freshly cooked lunch we took a walk on the Juniper Trail - great level path for wheelchairs with the exception of the steeper incline to the waterfall. Manageable but may need assistance for someone in self propelled wheelchair. Really liked the various marker boards and seats along the short route. Visitors are encouraged to add to the list of birds, insects and animals they see at the centre. The centre has just opened and also has accommodation on site including 4 accessible rooms with wet rooms. They also have meeting and education rooms for hire.
