Overview

We found East Links Family Park to be a fantastic place for all of the family and very accessible for my mother-in-law, Carol who is blind and uses a symbol cane. Excellent ramp access, even on the huge climbing fortress... She was even able to get to the top and come down the wavy slide! The accessible toilet was spacious and well-facilitated as well as being very clean. The park in general is very well-kept and clutter-free, making accessibility excellent. Carol also commented that it was lovely to go somewhere where there isn't music blaring out, so we could all enjoy the sounds of animals, birds, families and conversation.

Transport & Parking

They worked well for us. Spacious parking without bays, so we were able to choose a big area where we could get in and out with ease. We didn't see any designated disabled parking, but also, we didn't look for it, so it probably is there.

Access

There are ramps to get in, the area around the park is flat and gravel chips, so it's wheelchair accessible and was also easy for Carol who is blind to get around without risk of tripping. Even the huge climbing fortress has ramps and Carol loved going up and then coming down the slide. The train ride around the park includes a guide which was great for Carol so she was able to hear everything that was there and all about the animals. This is the accessibility information from their website "Yes, the pathways around the park are gravel chipped and there are ramps into all the buildings. We also have a ramp for access onto the train. Free electric wheelchair and scooters are available for customer use (phone to book)."

Toilets

The accessible loo was easy to find, very spacious and well-facilitated and clean.

Staff

Brilliant. Also clearly very hard-working as the park was immaculate despite it being so busy.

Absolutely amazing value for money with plenty for everyone. We were there with ages 0-82 years and all had a fabulous time and felt valued and included. Well done, East Links Family Park.
