Overview

Eataly is a unique combination of a food market and a restaurant, offering authentic Italian flavors. The venue serves fresh desserts, pasta, pizza, and panini for dine-in, making it a great spot for both meals and afternoon tea. Additionally, the refrigerated counters and shelves are stocked with a variety of retail products from Italy, which are perfect for taking home. A must-visit for Italian food lovers!

Transport & Parking

I walked to Eataly, and its large, eye-catching storefront was easy to spot. It’s conveniently located right next to Liverpool Street Station, so it’s also very accessible by tube.

Access

5

To enter, you can either take a few steps up or use the wheelchair-accessible lift to reach the entrances. Inside, the two-level space is connected by stairs, lifts, and escalators. On the ground floor, the centerpiece is a drink and dessert bar, surrounded by retail goods and seating. A hallway leads to the main dining area. The lift is located near the dessert section, while the escalators are in the main dining zone. Overall, the space is highly accessible.

Toilets

Both floors feature accessible toilets that are well-maintained and clean. They are equipped with grab rails, emergency red cords, and changing places facilities, ensuring a comfortable and safe experience for all users.

Staff

Since I was there on a weekend, the Staff around the counter were busy, but if you ask them a question, they are happy to help you out.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

This is definitely a place worth visiting, though I’d especially recommend wheelchair users and neurodivergent individuals to avoid weekends if possible. The space gets quite busy, meaning more obstacles when moving through the aisles, and the vibrant displays combined with the crowd might create sensory overload. I do think the shelves could be spaced a bit wider to reduce the need for constant maneuvering around others. I tried a slice of Margherita pizza and cream pudding—both were delicious! I’d gladly visit again, perhaps on a quieter weekday.
