Disabled Access Day
RZSS Edinburgh Zoo is pleased to be taking part in Disabled Access Day 2016.
We will have animal talks throughout the day from our knowledgeable presentation team, who will be accompanied by a qualified British Sign Language translator. You can also come and watch our binturongs Ali and Bali being fed at 12.15pm and the famous penguin parade at 2.15pm.
The Zoo is situated on a hill so we have an accessibility vehicle available every day to assist visitors across the site - this is a Peugeot Partner Teepee which is fully fitted to take one wheelchair user and up to three passengers at a time. We also have a nine seater minibus to help visitors get around the site.
We have a map available outlining the easier paths to take, and have developed a list of areas with interactive elements to suit all visitors.
