The beauty of Edzell was a statement of the prestige of its owners, the Lindsays. The stylized walled garden was created in 1604. Resplendent with heraldic sculptures and carved panels, the architectural framework surrounding the garden is unique in Britain. Opening hours 1 Apr to 30 Sept: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 4.30pm (last entry at 3.45pm). Entry will be closed between 12.30-1.30pm. 1 Oct to 31 Mar: Closed
